FIRST AND FOREMOST
Check your e-mail frequently the day before/during Race Weekend. 
You never know what might happen!

TIMES & ITINERARY
P’sidens: Our first race is at 1:40pm. You MUST be at the team site by 11:30am.
The afternoon time slot may result in parking being more difficult to find than previous years. Please time your arrival accordingly.
The following itinerary is mandatory for all team members:
11:30am: Arrival of entire team at team site
11:45am: Distribution of festival wrist bands and review of day’s plan
12:30pm: Pre-race warm-up session
1:10pm: Staging
1:40pm: Race!
Our second race of the afternoon will be between 3:30pm and 4:20pm. This means we could be staging as early as 3:00pm.

PSIRENS: Our first race is at 2:10pm. You MUST be at the team site by 12:00pm.
Remember: We aren’t arriving first thing in the morning this year so parking may be more difficult to find than previous years. 
        Please time your arrival accordingly.

TEAM SITE LOCATION
Our team sites are numbers 156 & 158. Please check in at the team site first thing upon your arrival. 
        Look for our large royal blue tents and team banners.
Friends and family are encouraged to visit us on-site!

FESTIVAL SITE RULES
NO ALCOHOL (other than in Beer Garden) NO SMOKING and NO DOGS on site.
        These are the festival rules, not the teams’; please ensure you do not violate them.

WHAT TO BRING
Clothing:
Sun protection: Hat or cap, sunglasses
Rain protection: Coat or umbrella
Cold protection: Long sleeve shirt/sweater, track pants, socks, etc
Wet protection: Change of clothes
Footwear: Sandals and socks
Whatever you decide to bring, just consider the above points!

Gear:
Lawn chair/blanket/towel
Games: Cards, Frisbees, football, whatever!
Plastic bags: 1 smaller one for wet stuff, 1 larger one to keep stuff dry in case it rains.
Sunscreen & bug spray
Hangers: To hang your wet shirts and PFDs to dry between races.
Water bottle: Water refills are available on site
Place setting: Let’s save paper plates, bring a reusable plate/bowl/cutlery for the day
Paper Pledge Forms – if applicable.
Race gear: Bum pads, PFDs, water bottle, glasses straps, fanny packs, etc.

PARKING & CARPOOLS
Parking is limited. As such, please offer a ride to those in your vicinity if you can and coordinate amongst yourselves. Please note:
Shuttle Bus service from Canada Post Headquarters on Riverside Drive will be available this year.
Free off-site parking is available at Canada Post Headquarters (Riverside Drive & Heron Rd). 
        PLEASE NOTE: There is no public parking available on-site. 
        Parking will not be available at Mooney’s Bay or on Riverside Drive on the weekend of the Festival. 
        Cars parked illegally in the surrounding areas will be ticketed and/or towed.
Drop off zone is located just inside the entrance to the volunteer parking lot on the north side of Hog’s Back Road (the Rideau Canal parking lot). 
        Cars MUST NOT be left unaccompanied in this area.
Bicycle Parking is available on site for free.

FOOD
The team is organizing for there to be food at our private team site; however numerous food vendors offer a variety of food and beverages throughout the weekend. A Beer Garden is also set up next to the Main Tent. Patrons must be 19 years of age or older to access this area. See psirens.ca/volunteer for potluck contributions.

SHIRTS/GEAR
There will be 40+ Psirens/P’sidens shirts/PFDs/paddles around the team site. 
KNOW WHICH IS YOURS. 
PSIRENS/P’sidens that own their own shirts: Make your shirt identifiable to you. 
        There is a tag on the inside left of the shirt on which you may wish to write your name.
